Now Independent Living movement in the world is spreading to Mongolia, Mr. Bayar and his colleagues organizing the first IL seminar from 07 to 09 September, 2010 in Mongolia which has participators from many Asia Kokorozashi Network members and Ainowa Foundation which representative by Mr. Taniai Fumihiro and Japanese Society for Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities (JSRPD) which representative by Ms. Masako Okuhiwa. Total all participators in this seminar about 240 people and the participators are almost Mongolian people with disabilities and relevant organizations, especially, Asia members is from Cambodian IL Center, Japanese IL Center, Korean IL Center, Pakistanis IL Center, Taiwanese IL Center and Nepalese IL Center. This first IL seminar is supported by Asia Kokorozashi Network. Congratulation on The new IL Center's name is Universal Progress. So, let’s move to Change our Society through IL movement!!!

On 10 June, 2010 Mr. Mey Samith and Mr. Eng laihoeun of Phnom Penh Center for Indepedent Living had participated in National Workshop On Disseminate the Law on the Protection and Promotion of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and the National Plan of Action for Persons with Disabilities including Landmine / ERW Survivors at Cambodiana hotel in Phnom Penh.

This workshop under the presided of HE Ith Sam Heng, Minister of Ministry of Social Affair and Veterans, Youth and rehabilitation and also participated with presented of Australia ambassador, UNICEF and many involve organizations and many people with disabilities about 315 participants.

In the opening speech by HE Ith Sam Heng, Minister of Ministry of Social Affair and Veterans, Youth and rehabilitation has push people to see positive ability of persons with disabilities and H.E. also focus on implementation the Law on the Protection and Promotion of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and MoSVY will organize documents to ratify on UNCRPD as soon as possible. At the same time HE Ith Sam Heng request to the UNICEF and Australia helps to train Cambodian staffs for effective on the implementing the UNCRPD.

The workshop has disseminating the new Law on the Protection and Promotion of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and draft legal required document which presented by Mr. Sim Seoun, Deputy Director of Rehabilitation Department of MoSVY.
